This Compendium of Child and Adolescent Wellness Indicators was developed by Community Health Solutions with support from Williamsburg Health Foundation.
- Formerly titled A Compendium of Children’s Behavioral Health Indicators, this resource has been updated to reflect a broader perspective on factors that reflect or influence child and adolescent wellness.

- The Compendium is intended to provide information for community needs assessment, strategic planning, program development, and grant development.
- Please note that the data formats vary, and it is important to consider whether a given indicator is appropriate for a specific purpose.
The Compendium is provided as a resource for community organizations and other community stakeholders working in Greater Williamsburg and selected surrounding localities.

The Compendium is presented in a set of more than 40 tables as outlined in the table of contents. The tables are organized into six sections including:
The Compendium was compiled from multiple sources of data provided by Virginia state agencies and other selected sources.
- Most of the indicators were obtained through the Virginia Kids County Data Center published by Virginia Voices for Children. Voices for Virginia’s Children is part of the KIDS COUNT national network funded by the Annie E. Casey Foundation. The KIDS COUNT Data Center is the best and most up-do-date source of data on Virginia’s children. Users can view and compare city, county, and statewide data on several indicators,
- Additional indicators were obtained directly from state agency sources or other sources as indicated in the source notes throughout the Compendium.
- The Compendium is published in pdf format to facilitate easy downloading and searching.
- The table headers and footnotes provide links to the source data if it is available online.
- This allows the user to visit the web page from which the data were obtained by clicking the table header.
- The Community Health Solutions team is available to provide technical support for using the Compendium.
