Within the Greater Williamsburg region, there are an estimated 53,000+ children age 0-18.  Among these, an estimated 3,588 were uninsured as of 2012.  Among the uninsured, an estimated 1,849 had income below 200 % of the federal poverty level, and 3,111 had income below 400% of the federal poverty level.  Families with uninsured children at these income levels would be eligible for subsidies in the Health Insurance Marketplace.
