The recently published National Council on Research (NRC) report on child abuse and neglect updates 1993 NRC report and provides new recommendations for research and service delivery.
This book is available to read online or to download for free. While the entire report is valuable, chapters that will be of special interest to providers are:
- Introduction: for an overview of previous work and current study methods/scope.
- Interventions and Service Delivery Systems: describes the program models and intervention strategies with the strongest evidence of success, approaches that have less success, and the importance of using an integrated model.
- Recommendations: includes cross-cutting approaches and guiding principles.
