SAMHSA’s  National Behavioral Health Barometer and the Virginia state version provide data about key aspects of behavioral health care issues affecting communities. These issues include rates (for youth and adults) of serious mental illness, suicidal thoughts, substance use, underage drinking, and the percentages of those who seek treatment for these disorders.
